“Life is hard … staying stuck in this cycle is hard and so is making changes. Choose your hard. What would life be like if you weren't living in fear?”

– Laura Jessen, LIMHP

You’re stretched too thin, with no break in sight.

If you’ve ever caught yourself muttering, “If I get one more email from the school, I swear …” or “Why don’t they just listen?!”—you’re not alone.

For a lot of parents, it feels like the stress is all about the kids, the chaos, and the endless to-do list.

But deep down, you know it’s more than that.

Your body aches, your mind races, and you wonder how long you can keep it together before it all falls apart.

You can’t pour from an empty cup.

What if mornings weren’t all about survival mode? Imagine your kids being able to regulate their emotions, and no longer feeling like you’re one meltdown away from snapping?

Imagine having the energy to enjoy a moment—not just with your kids, but for yourself.

Because when you’re grounded, you can give more to your kids andkeep some peace for yourself.

Why work with me?

As a single mom myself, I get the mental, emotional, and physical toll of trying to do it all.

And the somatic practices I use—breathwork, body scanning, grounding—are tools I rely on myself.

In our sessions, we’ll work with you or your child on calming your nervous system and getting you back into your body.

Who this type of therapy is for:

→ You’re a single mom running on fumes, wondering if it’s always going to be like this.

→ You want your kids to be able to regulate their emotions.

→ You love your kids but feel disconnected—from them, yourself, and your partner..

→ You’re tired of pushing through and want to start taking care of you.

→ You’re ready for real tools that help you feel better—not just another vent session.

I also offer Play Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Therapy for Children (in-person only).

If your child is dealing with anxiety, frustration, or anger, we’ll use mindfulness and play to help them understand and manage their emotions.

Through therapy, kids learn to label their feelings, reduce outbursts, and build a stronger connection with you. We’ll start by setting treatment goals together, and then I’ll work with your child to create a toolkit they can use both in and outside of our sessions.

Stop surviving and start living.
